C1 provides identity governance for Mixpanel. Integrate your Mixpanel project with C1 for unified visibility and governance over who has access to your analytics data.

Capabilities

ResourceSyncProvision
Users
The connector syncs the members of a single Mixpanel project as user identities. Each user carries their Mixpanel project role (Owner, Admin, Analyst, or Consumer), so you can see who has access to your Mixpanel project and at what level.

Gather Mixpanel credentials

You need a Mixpanel Service Account — a Username and Secret pair. They are sent on every request using HTTP Basic authentication and grant API access to your projects, so treat them as secrets. Mixpanel shows the secret only once when the Service Account is created.
1
Sign in to Mixpanel as an Owner or Admin of the organization that contains the project you want to sync.
2
Open Organization Settings, then go to Service Accounts.
3
Click Add Service Account, give it a descriptive name, grant it access to the project you want to sync, and copy the generated Username and Secret — you will not be able to see the secret again.
4
Find your project ID. Open the project, go to Project Settings, and copy the numeric Project ID (for example 1234567). This is the numeric ID, not the project name.

Configure the Mixpanel connector

Follow these instructions to use a built-in, no-code connector hosted by C1.
1
In C1, navigate to Integrations > Connectors and click Add connector.
2
Search for Mixpanel and click Add.
3
Choose how to set up the new Mixpanel connector.
4
Set the owner for this connector.
5
Click Next.
6
Find the Settings area of the page and click Edit.
7
Enter the Mixpanel credentials:
  • Service Account Username: The Username half of the Service Account you created.
  • Service Account Secret: The Secret half of the Service Account you created.
  • Project ID: The numeric project ID you copied.
  • API base URL override (optional): Leave blank for US projects. Set it to https://eu.mixpanel.com/api/app for EU Data Residency projects or https://in.mixpanel.com/api/app for India Data Residency projects.
8
Click Save.
9
The connector’s label changes to Syncing, followed by Connected. You can view the logs to ensure that information is syncing.
Done. Your Mixpanel connector is now pulling access data into C1.
